Well, that's a relief...

I'm taking Thursday and Friday off for KatsuCon. Making my life easier is the fact that out office is closed for President's Day this year. It's always nicer when you can travel home on the Monday after.

My boss just sent me a furious IM demanding to know why my calendar was marked unavailable for Monday. She'd never seen a vacation request for Monday. What was I doing planning for an extra unrequested day? But, I replied, Monday is a holiday. What holiday, she demanded. Um, Presidents Day. Harumph, said she, we don't close for Presidents Day! My heart sank; Had I planned wrong? Was I going to have to rearrange things? Eek. Then, a minute later, she sends me another IM. We do close for Presidents Day this year. Her bad.

On the plus side, my boss is happy now she's getting an unexpected day off.

I knew it was a good idea to program all of the company holidays into my calendar - saves a world of actually remembering stuff.

I told the daughter unit that you'd be in the green room a lot and now she wants to know what you look like. I pointed her at your icons but they don't exactly show your face well. :-) She may loko you up, though, she goes by Kham or Khamryn.

I'm not actually all that nuts about the way I photograph, hence the icon choices.

Is Kham cosplaying this year? Anyone distinctive? I'll likely spend most of the con here (we finally got the green room wired for internet), as several of our green room staff are lamed this year. (There's a redheaded 14-year old in a wheelchair and ankle cast running about the con who's usually one of our runners/deliverers).

Well, I don't have ANY icons of myself, so I understand. :)

Kham is doing Dio Eraclea (2nd outfit) from Last Exile,
Tir McDohl from Suikoden 1 and 2, and one other I don't think I'm supposed to mention but since this is a comment on a non-current post it probably won't hurt as long as you don't tell anyone. :) It's Heero Yuy (Oz dress uniform).

Hey, this is Netmancer from the Gencon forums. I'll be at Katsu too! Not sure why that would matter much, but I thought I should post anyway upon seeing the word KatsuCon. ^_^

I am trying to snag a room for some D&D and Talisman if you feel like gaming at all this weekend. keep an eye open for it. ^_^
