So, I'm sick. *hack* *sniffle*. I went home early on Tuesday and spent yesterday in bed. I still feel like crap, but here I am at work.

There has been talk to see the Fantastic Four movie on Friday.

As of now, logistics look like they will be as follows:

For those of you who may not have seen the email, the next RenGames LARP will be 10 September 2005. Deadling for XP spending and new character submissions is 24 July 2005.

In marginally related news, White Wolf is apparently requiring that any LARP that runs for-profit has to join the Camarilla and make their players join the Camarilla. Donations to recoup location rental count as a 'fee'. If you have not had your daily RDA of hysterical drama, read through the comments.

Having read Justin's commentary it seems a bit more reasonable. It isn't any more likely to make me join the Camarilla, however.

I dunno...

I'm still getting a disconnect from Justin claiming they're only trying to promote quality and go after for-profit larps and the FAQ entry saying that recouping rental costs counts as "profit".

I think it's for the big money, targetting OWBN, in a way that pre-emptively covers the precedents for defense that OWBN would cite if the case actually went to court. I don't think it is really targetting small time games or tabletop, but at the same time is still fairly insulting PR towards them.

I don't think it is all that healthy a decision, but chasing renewals and promoting everyone running Requiem/new WOD, is probably pretty tempting to all involved.
