Scheduling Things: Movies and Distant Mirror is not holding a LARP this weekend after all
- Distant Mirror's scheduled game for Nov 19 is CANCELED
- Construction on the head ST's house is still dragging on, and they didn't feel up to prepping a game from the hotel, so the November game is off. Next game should be at Dreamation. I'm not sure an email blast went out, so if you know any DM players that don't read this, you might want to mention the cancelation to them.
- Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire on Friday
- Goblet of Fire opens this weekend, and we're going to make an expedition to see it. Right now, I'm only seeing a 7:00am (too early) and a 10:35pm (too late) showing at either the Hadley (South Plainfield) or the Commerce Center (North Brunswick) theaters, but I am maintianing a Goldilocks optimism that this is just because full showtimes for Friday night don't usually show up online this early. So that 'just right' showtime may still be waiting for us. I'll post more details here as information comes in.
- The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe the second weekend of December
- The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe opens December 8 (Thu). I want to make a Manhattan expedition to see this one, so scheduling needs to go a bit in advance. I might be able to do a Friday night show as we did for Mirrormask since I think Decmeber 9 is our office Christmas party and likely to result in an early dismissal. Otherwise Saturday or Sunday afternoons are possible. I have to check with Y's schedule (as she is the reason I want to go into the city for this movie), but if anyone else who's interested has scheduling constraints, let me know so I can take them into account.

Why go to Manhattan for Narnia
The trip to Manhattan is because my childhood friend with whom I read the books lives in Manhattan and we've agreed that we have to see it together.
