So, I went to the dealership yesterday to sign papers and the like and we decided that it was not worth trading in my car (they really weren't going to offer me anything), so now I need to sell the old car myself. Or donate it to charity or something.
Anyone want a 1995 Civic coupe with 155k miles on it?
On account of not trading in, the pickup date is moved over until Saturday. I plan to negotate a ride there with someone.
I went to the Geico website to get insurance for the new car and discovered that I had not changed my address there (oops - but everything with them was email anyway). It turns out it costs half again as much for Rahway as Westfield!! Phooey. You know, I think we have a Manufacturers Insurance thingy at work. Maybe I should call HR...

Remember to demand cash. And that it is the responsibility of the buyer to deal with all the paperwork. You take the tags, sign a bill of sale, and call it a day.
It runs fine, gets about 35 miles to the gallon, needs to have the oil checked a little more often than a brand new car would but not unreasonably often. Handles fine. Will pass inspection for everything but a chip on the windshield, but I think it can be filled in rather than requiring a whole new windshield. Worst thing: a/c is broken.
