Well, that's an hour and a half difference, there. The extra half hour in New Hampshire I think I picked up getting a little lost after the rest stop and because it was dark and Rt 28 has no lights, so I had to drive a little slower than I could during the day on the way home. The half hour difference in Massachusetts was obviously the traffic jam on 495 (grr, stupid traffic). The half hour in NY/NJ I think was because the Meritt Pike dropped me right onto 287 rather than having that extra time on 684. However, unless you can be absolutely sure that 95 or the Meritt will be clear, I think 684 is probably still safer. Also, home is a smidge south of work, and the local roads were surely slower than 78.

Oh, and, I got there and got home safe. The lake was lovely, and still warm enough that I could take a swim, and I got to spend time with my family.
